County Fair
Last night we had a good time at the county fair...some "interesting" people were out, but a good time none the less. We finished it up with the demolition derby and needless to say, Kalan loved it.
Big Truck Day
At the COSI (our local science museum) they had a big truck day and Kalan loved it. He (and I) sat in a tractor and scooped and dropped some dirt, he was hoisted up by a crane, and he was able to get into most of the trucks.

Lake Powell 2008
What a week!! We had a great week (the marriage was only strained for a day...Kalan only had one meltdown), pretty good I think. We hiked, swam, rode jet ski's, tubed, water skiied, and ate very, very well (with a few drinks as well). We did not have any rain just a lot of sun, especially towards the end of the week. Kalan drove the house boat, ski boat, and jet ski...he is now very fond of the water and wore his life jacket in the house today.
"Hole in the Rock" Hike
The hike to "Hole in the Rock" was a lot of fun. We ventured out early one morning and it took about an hour up and and an hour and a half down. It is a gorgeous hike and even more beautiful once you arrive up top. There is a little lock box up top where journals and a pen are held. For those that make it in, you write in the journal with your thoughts, date and home state. I believe the earliest entry we saw was from 1976/77 and the last before us was in 2007 (I think).
The Fisherman
Nana had more than enough surprises for Kalan...the fishing pole may have been his favorite. He became pretty good at casting and reeling it in.
